The brown recluse spider (Loxosceles reclusa) lives in the United States. It has a light brown to medium brown body. Other names of brown recluse spider are fiddler spider, violin spider, and fiddleback spider.
Adult brown recluse spiders reach a size of 6 – 20 millimeters in length.
Unlike most other spiders, the brown recluse spider has six eyes.
Brown recluse spiders feed on soft-bodied insects, firebrats, cockroaches, and crickets.
They are found in southeastern Nebraska, central Texas, Kentucky, southwestern Ohio, western Georgia, southern Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois.
The breeding 
season ranges from May to July. The female produces as many as 50 eggs which are hatched in about 30 days. Spiderlings become adults when they are one year old.
They can survive months without eating. Brown recluse spiders rarely jump.
Brown recluse spiders build irregular webs. They build webs in garages, sheds, woodpiles, cellars, and closets.
Brown recluse spiders can live as long as 2 years in the wild.
